So here I am in sunny Christmas Island (for work), and there are NO vws anywhere !!!! Not even anything form the VAG family !!!

I'm stuck driving a toyota high ace (most of the time), or stuck being a passenger in the said nut bus

There are only 2 BMWs and an old 70's merc, but the rest are generic toyotas.

I am so dissapointed...

You get a work trip away to somewhere like that....and you can't find dubs? Might not be good for your dubspotting, but man, nice place to visit, work or not!

It is a fantastic place!

Truely lost in time, as mobile coverage is very poor, and internet access is variable at the best of times.

But the flora and fauna are amazing, and the water at the beach is warmer (and clearer) than some of the baths that I've had

I'll post up some pics when I get back to the main land.

Back in Canberra again - and I am so happy to be back!

Working on the island was a great experience, and I would do it again (but not any time soon, and not for so long).

On the car front, I spotted 2 '90's Audis from VAG, and a couple of mercs and beemers from the german based marques. 98% of the rest were toyotas. My Octavia and manky little Mk1 are so quick compared to the hi-ace vans that I drove most of the time.
