I repeat - they sound great...if you are over 25 :P I got my receipt in the mail today and Basil is insured with the only company that would take me because of my age.

But to get back onto the subject of Basil rather than insurance, I have a few more pictures which I will post up later tonight. We have a few new 'bodyparts' to replace some damaged ones. I believe the paint will be ordered on Friday so hopefully it wont be too much longer :D

Not my engine, but my exhaust and heater boxes. Was put on a 'dummy' engine to get the fit correct etc. Boxes are going off to be ceramic coated now.

My old heater boxes:

Those new heater boxes look great.....couldn't recognise them originally as they didn't have any holes like mine  Very nice.

Not sure of the size of the pipes - I think 1 1/2 inch..but will confirm..

Now these shots are of the seat bases after bead-blasting prior to powder-coating and also of some other bits an pieces which I am sure you will recognise. The last photo is of the old and weathered 'chrome' strips blasted back ready for re-coat!(a tad out of focus - but these all taken using a mobile phone camera..)

Ceramic Coating - not chrome. It is a "chrome like" coating that resists high heat oxidation....You wont find much (if any) chrome on Basil...
