17 May - National Motoring Heritage Day

National Motoring Heritage Day is a day to dust the cars off and get them out in the public. The ultimate aim is to have all car clubs on the road so that people can see a show of all kinds of vehicles during the day.

This year, we're opting for a simple scenario.

Meet: Russell Carpark
Time: 10.45 for 11am departure
Destination: Cotter BBQ area

Lunch: Sausage sandwiches - free to club members with club t-shirt
- gold coin donation by other attendees
OR BYO lunch, etc

Limted Soft drinks will be on sale

Come along, meet other members, share your interest in the cars, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.

Who else is coming on this run? Its only a day away, weather is supposed to be good.....come out for a few hours, chat dubbish and show the community which cars are best :lol:

I'll be there for merchandise sales at the meeting point, but will not be able to attend the event .

Unless a Canberra VeeDub Club Committee member places a post stating it's cancelled, the event will still be on. :mrgreen:

Weather forecast I have here should be a decent day with around 16 degs, in theory a great day for a cruise, hope to see some locals there.

What a great day, perfect weather and great conversation! Thanks heaps to those who came along, we had a great convoy (thanks Ian B for leading the push), and Sam's cooking on the BBQ was tops.

Those who weren't there...you missed a great event.

The convoy looked great moving along near Black Mountain! Sorry i was heading in the other direction

Any photo's of some of the other clubs/cars? I saw a few lovely rides out and about in the afternoon.

Didn't see any other clubs out, either at Cotter or on the roads. There were a number of motorbike enthusiasts at Cotter but no car clubs.
